Advanced Drama – Major Production

Prerequisite: Students must complete our Drama I course prior to enrollment in Advanced Drama.

Our advanced drama course provides the opportunity for students to engage what they learned in Drama I. Each semester, NMYA’s Advanced Drama course produces and performs a musical and a stage play. Students will be cast into one of the shows for their semester.

How does it work?

The first few classes of each semester are the “auditions”. The students have the opportunity to sign, dance, and run lines for the course leaders. After “auditions,” each student is cast into the musical or theatrical production. The remainder of the semester is spent training and rehearsing for their performance. (See schedule notes below for date details.)
Throughout the semester, the students have the ability to enhance the skills they gained in Drama I.
