NMYA’s first annual Summer Shakespeare Fest
WHO: Any new or returning NMYA students, ages 9-19
WHAT: Four weeks of speaking, playing, and acting all things Shakespeare, culminating in an outdoor Shakespeare scenes performance on the evening of Thursday, June 29 (performance location TBA)
WHEN: June 5 – June 29, 2023
Days/ Times: Mondays-Thursdays, 3:00 – 5:30 pm
WHERE: Uptown Church, 1613 Arizona Street NE
COST: $450 (Register by May 15 and save $20)

Drama I
This summer session meets the requirements for students wishing to follow the “Major Production Track”.
This hands-on, fun-filled, action packed month long course focuses on
- Improvisation
- Emotional Recall
- Sense Memory
- Stage Directions
- Stage Presence
- Stage Stunts
- Self-Confidence
- Teamwork
- And much more!
The course culminates with a public presentation of scenes on the final day of the term. Each student enrolled in Drama I will have a role in the final presentation.
